I finally bought one of these PAPRs. We purchased an used them at my last place of employment for the boiler operators, who worked for me. They are pretty nice and I knew what I was getting. The main power unit I purchased off Ebay for about $850 shipped and tax. I bought the helmet separately for about $230, again off Ebay. The 600 can use the organic vapor cartridge and that's what I really wanted for finishing pens with CA glue. I find I wear it a lot in the shop. My dust collection is good except for the small power tools. I guess this is just added safety..

I’ve had on for 6-7 years. Still works great. A few items:

> get some “tear-off” thin film shield covers to protect the shield from scratches
> get a back up battery to swap in the middle of something - battery life still great, just hate having to stop in the middle of something
> still using the original filter. Periodically I remove the filter and tap it to remove the caked on collected dust and use a shop vac, reverse flow, to remove a bit more.
> the slowest fan speed is all I’ve ever needed
> getting close to time to replace the face seal. Still work but looks very rough
> the organic vapor cartridge works great - use it when spray finishing solvent finishes like lacquer.
