AAW is sponsoring a panel discussion and exhibit at SOFA Chicago held at the Navy Pier in downtown Chicago, November 5 – 8, 2009. It is an exhibit of mentors and mentees, encouraging younger artists in our field.

The title of the AAW exhibit is – “Influence & Inspiration: The Evolving Art of Woodturning”. There will also be an essay in the SOFA catalog. Our exhibit booth number is S115.

The panel discussion will be moderated by Kevin Wallace, Director of the Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts in Ojai, California - Emerging artists and their mentors discuss the creative process in a panel discussion. The panel participants will be Binh Pho, Joey Richardson, Hans Weissflog and Jakob Weissflog. Our discussion is scheduled from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, 11/7.
