Again I have tried to get a membership but I see that the program has not been fixed. It has been promised since the beginning when the new program has put into operation which was 2007 that is the date on the card that can be printed online. It is now 2013 maybe the AAW should get rid of whoever is in charge of fixing the problem so that members who would like a card can print one.

I joined in 2004 and at that time they mailed out new cards annually. About a year ago when I printed out one online, it gave the current date as the date that I have been a member since. I have found no use for the card other than taking up space so I don't worry about it.

I just went and printed mine.

As far as dates on the card it has the "join date - expiriration date".

No 2007 date on it anywhere.

After I logged in I found a "Print Membership Card" menu offering, clicked it and went to the print card page.

I hope this helps.

Happy turning
Tom

Just printed mine, I had to reduce the page to 75% to get it on the paper to begin with (Why is that?). If you joined before 2007 your card says that you joined in 2007, that is what Bill is talking about. Those that have been members before 2007 do not get the right year printed on the card. All he is asking is why hasn't this been fixed can it be that difficult?

I have been a member since 1995 and yes I use to recieve membership cards in the mail also. When the format was changed on the web site which was 2007 that was the only date the appeared as the dated for when a person had joined AAW. I was told several years ago that would be corrected now it is 2013 and soon to be 2014 an the program is still the same.

Member Card

I would be happy to help with printing the member card, give me a call. The correct dates are very important. I think we will have good news for 2014.

Why?

Bill - Why so much passion about a membership card?

I don't get it. I have not had a membership card for years. Last one I got came in the mail. Have never been denied access to any AAW function because I did not have a membership card.

If the AAW is saving money by not mailing membership cards, I applaud their efforts. Money spent on printing and mailing membership cards can surely be put to better use.

So, I am really interested in why you have so much passion about a membership card. - John
