We recently finalized the demonstrator lineup for the AAW International Woodturning Symposium and it’s posted on our website. This global representation of woodturning talent will help us celebrate four decades of woodturning excellence. You’ll see demonstrators from New Zealand, Japan, France and Australia plus Arizona, Mississippi, North Carolina and more. These masters and inspiring talents reflect the depth, diversity, and creativity of the global woodturning community.

The list of demonstrators includes:
  • Mark Gardner
  • Mike Mahoney
  • Yann Marot
  • Matt Monaco
  • Seri Robinson
  • Molly Winton
  • And so many more talented woodturners.
If the 2026 AAW International Woodturning Symposium is not on your calendar, now is the time to register. And there are discounts available if you sign up early, by Feb. 28. Early Bird pricing gives you the best rate for our 40th Anniversary Symposium in Raleigh, North Carolina, June 4–7, 2026. (There are discounts for AAW chapter members too)

We have a great location for this event at the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, N.C. There are hotels and restaurants within a block or two, it’s a close and convenient location that will contribute to the community vibe that makes woodturning so special. Check the website for hotel info.

Register early to lock in the lowest registration price, plan travel and lodging with confidence, and coordinate with chapter members attending together.

June 4-7, 2026 will be a special few days in Raleigh that will expand your skills and your connections in woodturning. Join us for the AAW International Woodturning Symposium. We’re celebrating 40 years of turning and we would love to see you there.

That is a great group. A bit too far for me to travel at this stage in life. I did attend one years ago in Dalton,Georgia. I think it was the AAW event or the Georgia group. Senior moment?

Hey John, there are some great woodturning events in the country, and our Symposium is the largest one. We did hold it in Atlanta about 10 years ago, but I know that's not Dalton - I've driven through Dalton a time or two.
