The AAW now has a YouTube Channel where condensed versions of all our online symposium videos and other stuff can be viewed. Here's the link. Please have a look around, subscribe to the channel, watch the videos and feel free to comment (5 stars, please :)).

And, check back often - I'll be adding several new videos soon as well as some from the Albuquerque symposium in late June.

Subscribe?

Why do we need to subscribe to the YouTube Channel to see the videos?

Eric,

The reason to subscribe is so you will be notified by email when new videos are posted. It also is used as an indication to the powers that be at You Tube of the relative popularity of a channel.

Yes, subscribing is a good, no costs thing to do. BTW, two new videos (teasers) from the 2008 symposium DVD series were added yesterday...did you see them?

Thanks John, n7,

As you can tell I'm a newbie to YouTube. If it'll keep me up to date and on the right track of woodturning "related" videos I'll subscribe.

But the LOML says our granddaughter MUST be supervised while viewing (Alison is 7 and amazed at how we find whats inside the wood). Our granddaughter loves my shop and told her mom and dad she wants one just like mine.:)

Cheers

Absolutely - there is a tremendous amount of garbage and near-porn on YouTube, just like every other aspect of the internet. Supervising children is a must.

This YouTube experiment is really intended to attract new people to woodturning, as literally millions visit this venue every day. If you wish to view these videos without having to go to the YouTube site, then click on this link for access to our AAW main site's video archive page.
