Al Stirt lives in Northern Vermont. He has been a well known teacher, woodturner and bowl maker for more than 50 years. Al has a deep interest in form and pattern that informs his beautiful turned and carved artwork. Working with coffee hour cohost Ernie Conover, Al shares 25 slides of his work, with many questions and comments, plus a few slides from his other consuming passion, wilderness canoeing and hiking in Labrador and Northern Quebec. Thanks Al for a really interesting hour!

Thoroughly enjoyed seeing Al. I attended an all day workshop in 2004 with him and had a look at my notes today. The photos on his website of his trips in Northern Québec and Labrador are outstanding.

Love Al's sense of direction and purpose. Kudo's to you for your excellent interview abilities. You're voice is very pleasing and distinctive plus your questions and comments are spot on. Thank you.
