Just saw that Gorst DuPlessis passed away two days ago. I did not know him well, met him a few times and have one of his boxes . He was a nice guy and a great turner he will be missed.
 
That's sad indeed. Same here, I didn't know him well. Just met him and briefly visited with him a few times. Very nice guy. He was undoubtedly one of the greatest ornamental turners. RIP, Gorst.
