August 2023 Turning Challenge: turn a Calabash!

This one just came off the lathe so is still wet and no finish as that was not a requirement. Bradford Pear measures 4 3/4 x 3. Have done some before but this is the first planned to be so. IMG_8088.jpeg
 
The August Turning Challenge is now closed. Emiliano and I are both at the SWAT symposium in Waco, Texas so it will be a few days before we can get the poll set up.
