Basket Illusion Software

Has anyone tried the Basket Illusion software available through the Microsoft Store (https://apps.microsoft.com/store/detail/basketillusion/9N35WG5HD30K?hl=en-us&gl=us)? I'm currently using polar graph paper imported into Corel Draw, but am interested in using something that would show my patterns in 3D.

Yes, I have it. I think it works well. It takes a bit of getting used to at first and feels a little clunky but if you read the instructions it'll get the job done. Well worth the $15 IMO.

I saw discussion on the Woodturner Pro website by the developer about adding basket illusion function to the software. If this comes through it should be able to generate a 3d view.

Can you use 3d Design Pro and Woodturner Pro to design the vessel and then import it into the Basket Illusion app to generate the pattern?

I would say no. I'm pretty sure I manually replotted the outline in basket illusion after originally designing in 3D design pro and woodturner pro. Here is the manual

I use my cad software Vcarve pro.
