I am a retired professional firefighter and I live in Lubbock Texas. Last fall at the county fair I came across the South plains Woodturners and signed up for their beginning class. I have since bought a Jet 12/21 and have been turning ever since.

Welcome,
I have a Jet 1221 as my luggable lathe. Terrific machine.
You can do a lot with that lathe, I enjoy turning on mine.
I think of it as my small lathe with big lathe’s heart.
I’ve I’ve used it for bowl and hollow form demos which were at it limits and it did a fin job.
