Several years ago now I had to sell my American Beauty to address some family needs, we do what we have to right? I purchased an interim lathe and while it's been a good machine it's obviously not a Robust, and this is where persistence pays off. Not even sure how I found it now but while 'surfing' I came across an AB 3HP for sale in mid-state NY. It was an estate sale where a gentleman was clearing out his Father's garage. Fortunately for me, the seller was cognizant of shipping costs and desperate to move it on so I was able to purchase the lathe for $5k and it's being delivered this Friday. Merry Christmas to me and as I said...sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.
