Thinking we could post any Black Friday deals that you may know of. My company handed out year end bonuses early this year so I have money burning a hole in my pocket. 😁

Definitely think that we are seeing the impact of the current economic state and tariffs this holiday season. Any discounts are trending towards 10-15% off rather than 50% as we saw in years past. Been holding out for some turning kits to complete some handles I've made, and neither woodcraft nor rockler has offered the kits for more than 25% for the better part of 2025.

I found a big sale on one of the vendors... Normal price is $95. On sale now (while supplies last!) for $89

Been planning on helping with an XMas gift for a better "starter" lathe for a friend. He currently turns on a hacked up shopsmith and a
frankenstein'd benchtop contraption.

Bunch of research has led me to a Rikon 70-1516VSR-K midi and it includes Rikon's Z3 4 Jaw Chuck

Missed a sale last month but it's finally back on sale ... end up saving $150 off normal price when all said and done (mfg price is $1300 .. for what that's worth ;-)

Amazon has it, Woodcraft has it (no free shipping), ACME has it (free shipping) ... total out the door with free ship and tax is $880 from ACME..

Here's the Acme link

Late Happy Thanksgiving and early Merry Christmas to everyone 😁

Rockler had 25% off a single item, had planned on getting a longsworth chuck but randomly found a used one on ebay while looking. 16" modern longworth chuck that packard woodworking sells for a little over $200, got it for $100, could have made one but for $100 might as well save my time. Was hoping to find a place selling micro motors on sale with no luck, kutzall had all of their burrs 30% off so bought a bunch of those. Now just need to find a micro motor tool to buy.

I really don’t see 10% off as a Black Friday Special, despite them saying it is. They do a 10% sale quite often. And 15% off Robust still doesn’t get it close to other companies. Just my opinion.
Them is me. Everything was 10% off and Robust gouges/etc was 15% from 11/14 to 12/1.
What other companies are you referring to?
