Hi, I posted earlier on what to do with a spindle roughing gouge with a busted tang. Lots of good ideas including a pretty obvious one I never thought of. Grind gown s new tang!
So I got out the angle grinder and it had a new tang in short order. Hand a slightly too small piece of mesquite but I figure the SRG was stumpy the handle can be stumpy too.
So glad I thought to ask and that someone suggested this cuz a new one is around $100 and I got lots of stuff I'd rather spend that money on.
Oh and I fixed the grind folks, thanks for that too.
