Bottle stoppers

Looks functional except for that pointie thing, 3rd from right my favorite, I may be influenced by the wood

Those are nice Rusty. My favorites are the tophat-like ones. I have five bottle stopper kits that have been sitting around forever. One of these days I’ll get on it.

My wife needs some bottle stoppers for work. I am a bowl guy. I never do finials or anything like that. I need a lot of practice.View attachment 48263
A friend was doing some small kits including stoppers and his designs reminded me of something: KISS. Keep it simple st………, well, you get my point. I like your variety, makes it fun.

I like the silicon rubber type. Instead of the dowel I turn a tenon on the body and make it slightly oversize (based on the dowel) to help prevent the stopper from pulling off. I also tell the person getting the stopper to "push in, twist out".
