I realized there are no set rules, but was wonder about beading and coloring the inside of a basket illusion bowl. I have done both, but tend to like the inside as turned instead of beaded. What is you perspective?
William, as you say, no set rules. I have made a few basket illusion salad bowls. People like them very much and they are half the work. If displayed on a shelf just above eye level, they become a basket illusion as you can’t see the inside is plain.
@Mark Fairchild Nice looking bowl. I don’t disagree with any of the responses, but not doing the beading on the inside allows it to be used as a salad bowl. I particular like the way you set the “beaded” rim from the bowl. Makes it look more like the bowl is sitting in a basket.
