That was fun to watch. I wish they had showed more footage of the pole lathe in action though.

I would have really like to see some close ups of how you held the work and finished off the bowl.

I love watching Robin Wood work. As someone who demonstrates on a pole lathe I'm not even in the same league as him. I think my first bowl on the pole lathe took most of a day and at least a dozen doughnuts to finish and it sure didn't look as good as his.

Thnaks for the comments guys, Mark I only use hooks for the outside and inside. It's possible to use a gouge on the outside but hooks really come into their own on the inside.
