Cart for gouges

I have a couple of 4 foot long by 2 foot wide with shelves wire rack things, on wheels. U Line or most big box stores have 16 inch wide ones. I made a plywood top with 3 sides so sharp points don't stick out the back and the tools won't roll off the ends. There is room for storage underneath of other tools, and wood blanks.

I had a similar cart to this one I'm showing below, but let it go. I think I may get this one in a few months, after I have a heartfelt conversation with myself on the nearly complete lack of open floor space in my shop. (That problem will be solved in 5 years!) I have 4 other chests from this same family, sold through Menards home stores. They are very good chests, solidly built with beefy drawer hardware. Better than Harbor Freight's chests, which I did look at carefully at the local store. I'd also build in an extra shelf in the lower open storage area.

Well craptastic. My three Crown Pro-PM bowl gouges are 3" too long to fit in these drawers. I guess I'll have to grind them down to fit...

I mean, I guess I'll have to cut 3" off the end of the handles. They're plenty long, I'll never know the difference.
