Hi Everyone, thank you for including me on the AAWfourms. Great site and loads of information. I'm pushing 75 yrs. old with 3 sons, 5 grands & 2 great grands. Been piddling with wood working about 30 years and about a year ago I decided I neededvto try wood turning. I was hooked immediately. I didn't have a lathe or any tools. I quickly found out the tools are not cheap. Being on Socual Security didn't help either. Well I bought an old Delta/Rockwell for $150.00, made a couple tools & off I went. I'll try to include a few pictures. I'm not very good when it comes to final finish as I only have one eye, only partial use of left shoulder and Neuropathy in both feet. But I love wood turning. One issue I have to work on is tool presentation to the wood. I hope to enjoy learning things on this site that will improve my skills.

Welcome to the forum. There are a lot of us on the forum with grey hair; some with no hair. Those turnings are outstanding in my book! Don't be afraid to ask questions. That is how we learn.

Welcome aboard, Claude. It looks like you are off to a great start. We all have been through the learning process so we can relate to any problems that you are facing. We have lots of friendly folks who are eager to answer any questions you might have. And remember, the only dumb question is the one that isn't asked.
