I was given a green piece of crotch that's 4 to 5 inches across and about 10 inches long. It is still very wet, but it looks like it will make a nice vase or small HF. Anyone have any experience with this wood, or heard of anyone that has?

Fruit wood in general have a bad habit of cracking easilly when drying. My advice would be to rough out some blanks from the wood (bowl or vase), seal it up nicely with anchorseal, bag it in paper bags, and put it in a cool place. let it stabilize for a while and you should have some nice stuff.
