This post is coming a bit late, as I'm sure most of you are already aware that Nick Agar has been diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Although I've never met him, I am fully aware of his generosity and general impact on the woodturning world. His work is inspirational, and from what I hear so is his character. It was sad to hear of his diagnosis last month. Nick is a great guy .... very funny, talented, and very creative. I attended one of his first demos (if not the first) in the US held in a club member's garage shop! ... and several more since then. He is strong and relatively young, and I wish him well with his fight with cancer. If you can, I urge everyone to help him out.

Thank you, Michael, for your post. I was unaware of Nick's diagnosis, and both my work history and current family situation make me acutely aware of how challenging, and sometimes devasting it all can be. It's so good that we all have the opportunity to help.
