I've turned a fair amount of Australian burls but this is the first time using corrugata. The piece I'm doing is a burl cap, quite unbalanced and irregular, about 23" X 17" X 4" - 6". It's also rather dry.

I'm finding this wood to be harder than woodpecker lips, I mean really hard, beating me up hard.

I'm curious, have any of you turned this stuff and found it to be very hard or have I just hit it lucky? If this is typical, it's my last time.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike, never turned the stuff, how sharp is your tooling? if thats not it ,I can help you turn it... :D . Seriously if you want to get rid of some ,I can send you a prepaid box and some Idaho birch.
