Hello turners. I just started turning intermittently a couple of years ago. Started on a Jet 1221 vs, and just acquired a used Nova 2024 DVR. I’m excited. I’m a retired civil engineer in Carson City, NV. I joined AAW and a local club to learn to turn. AAW is turning out to be a great resource!

Hi Craig. Welcome from another retired civil engineer. I think you will find your engineering training useful as you experiment with various types of turnings. Enjoy!
