I just heard my friend and woodturning mentor has passed away last night. He was a very giving man with no expectations of getting anything in return. He was really looking to make to this years Rocky Mountain Woodturning Symposium to see old friends. He was 89 years old. Rest in peace Dan.

Dale, very sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. The woodturning community is a tight one, and a loss to those who personally knew the member is still a loss to all of us. Sincere condolences.

Sorry to hear of Dan's passing. I remember visits to his place when the chips would be waist deep around the lathe, watching him core blanks.
