If you live within a 3 hour drive of Tampa you have a tremendous opportunity.

Tri County Woodturners are hosting David Ellsworth for an all day demo. The demo will be in Lutz Just off Highway 41 North of Tampa. David may be the most inspirational, skilled and innovative turner on the planet. All Woodturners are welcome. There is a $25 fee which includes lunch. For details and to sign up see:

I had the good fortune to meet David and see him demonstrate at a mini symposium held in Annapolis in 1993 and take week long class with David at Maryland Hall for the creative arts in 1995. I recommend every woodturner see an Ellsworth demonstration and take class with him if possible.

Happy turning,
Al

looking forward to the rotation, by the way...mid 80's, no humidity :D

Demo details

AL, do you have more details on starting and finishing times for the Demo by David? I could not find it on the web link.

Ed

I saw David several years ago in NOLA - event was hosted / sponsored by Bayou City Woodturners - worth every penny.

Don't miss seeing him demo if you have the opportunity.
