Delta 46-700 VS

I'm looking for folks that know this lathe. Is anyone here familiar with this lathe? There is an inexpensive one ($200) on Craigs list that I'm considering for the school.
Obviously I can't tell for sure until I see it first hand.

• Should I definitely pass on it? (Known to be a piece of junk)
• Should I grab it before someone else does?

Looks like it's a Reeves drive which from my research can be a bit of challenge and not as desirable as electronic variable speed.

The current owners of the Delta brand name no longer support the product. I've heard that parts are no longer available (from anywhere), and that it's only a matter of time till the Reeves drive breaks. But that's hearsay.

Pass on it. I had one. The cast pulleys of the Reeves drive break and I've heard you cant find them any more. I had 2 sets break and didnt use that lathe that much.
