Do dust mask filters have a standard bayonet fitting

I have a MSA half mask I wear when using CA glue. Does any one know if the filters that fit other masks will fit this? As far as I can tell MSA doesn't make a plain dust filter, which is what I would prefer to use when sanding. Is the bayonet fitting standard across al mask manufacturers?

So far every mask I have bought has had it own style of attaching the filters, some of the diameters are close but actually never fit its PITA

I don't know the mask and filters you are referring to, but would it be possible to get someone to 3D print an adapter?

In my experience, once you’re on a brand, say 3M vs. Honeywell/North vs. Sundstrom, that brand uniquely defines the filter physical interface. That said, doing a little searching around I was able to find third-party P100 filters, for example, for North system masks. The main problem with those is vetting them for actual filtration quality, since they tend to be from random sellers from China on Amazon rather than known-quantity filter makers.

So in short: there are no cross-brand standards for these filters.

I would add my 2 cents by saying buying a mask that will capture the gas and odor put off by CA would be an item you would get at an auto paint supply store. Dust masks do not stop gas; in fact, my Peke head gear pulls the nasty stuff into my clean zone in an ugly way. I crank up a large fan when using CA. I also have a mask for painting that I use from time to time. As I have gotten older (nearing 70), I notice that I am more susceptible to this kind of stuff.

Have you ever tried Parfix 3408 CA (Parsons Adhesives)? It has low odor and won’t affect the eyes like normal CA. I’ve been using it for years. Some use it as a wood finish.

Also, there are filters specifically made for vapors. For example, I use the 3M 60936: 3M P100 Respirator Cartridge/Filter, NIOSH, helps protect against organic vapors, acid gasses, Ammonia Methylamine, Formaldehyde, and particulates.

I buy from Amazon. I use these on full face 3M respirators that keep chemicals and such off the face and out of the eyes, such as when I need to spray certain chemicals on the farm. You can also get P100 particulate filters for that respirator and others. All 3M respirators I have, both full and 1/2 mask, use the same twist-in connector.
