Hello everybody. Happy New Year!
My name is Dzmitry. I live in the Republic of Belarus, I'm an IT specialist. I'm 63 years old. I started as a programmer in the early 90s, now CTO.

I enjoy tinkering with wood, making various crafts, garden furniture ets.
I became interested in woodturning about five years ago. It's my Sunday hobby. I set up a workshop in the basement of my house.
I'll be retiring soon, and I hope I can devote more time to my hobby.

I enjoy segmental turning; I love making tall floor vases, as well as segmented bowls, tabletop vases, and platters.
I love experimenting, trying different techniques, and I'm trying to use epoxy resin.

I admire the work presented on this forum and the skill of the people who created it.
I hope to learn a lot more and try to create something similar.IMG_9317.jpgIMG_9281.jpgIMG_9290.jpgIMG_9335.jpg

Dzmitry, welcome to the forums! Nice to have another IT guy here :) Happy new year and look forward to seeing other work you post.

Elegant work! Looking to learn from you. Like to do segmented turnings and pen blanks this year.

Some fantastic segmenting Dzmitry! Welcome aboard. As Mike mentions, check out the AAW segmenting chapter too. We’d love to see you!
