Hello,

My name is p. Ernesto Aquino. I am a retired Marine Wounded Warrior. I live in Fallbrook, California. I was introduced to woodturning in June of 2012 after returning home from my fifth combat deployment where I was injured. The San Diego Woodturners had started a program called "Turn Around for Veterans" (TAV) targeting wounded, ill, and injured service members returning from war. I got hooked on woodturning and here I am 12 years later. I am the Chairman of the program that introduced me to woodturning. I just recently started entering in Fair Contests and have been pretty successful at getting recognition. I am currently working out of my garage, an upgrade from the covered patio setting I had for several years. Hopefully, I will be breaking ground for my new 40 x 25 workshop in a few months. If you have any questions please let me know! Semper Fi, Ernesto!!
