I don't have a printed ballot nearby, so perhaps someone can answer a question for me.

I joined at the beginning of the year, and a month or so later ammended my membership to add my wife (so she could also join our local turning club), and paid the additional (modest) fee.

Does the printed ballot allow for two votes? If my wife and I want to vote for separate people, how does this work.

Or does a family membership receive only one vote?

Thanks in advance.

One vote from the membership webpage:

Member type - Family:
All of the benefits listed above, plus
Up to three family members living in same household on the membership card
One copy of the American Woodturner Journal, six issues per year
One vote at election time
Listed family members are covered by the chapter liability insurance. Ability to demonstrate at chapter events and shows

Thanks Owen... just what I was looking for.

So if she wants a vote, it appears that the most inexpensive route would be getting an individual Online membership for her so as not to duplicate the mailed journal.

Now that we can order off of the "Senior" menu at some restaurants, I don't think she'd qualify for a "Youth" membership <vbg>

It's not clear to me how online members vote, considering that they don't get a printed Journal with a ballot. Anyone know how this is done? Thanks.
