Years ago I took a box making class from Doug Stowe. Doug talked about making useful and beautiful things. I took his term “useful and beautiful” to heart and when I make something that satisfies both those conditions I’m most satisfied.

My latest is a little cantilevered tripod end table.

My dog Hank gave it four paws.

A couple of my other favorites are my coffee scoop which I use every morning but it's not much on the beautiful side. I rate stools high, especially after they gain patina from daily use.
