First bowl sales, sort of

That was great for your charity. I can't get a fraction of that price in my region. The only reason anyone ever comes up with to buy a hollow vessel is for cremation urns. My last sale of one of those was still purchased, but I was told my price of $250 was higher than the ones at the Funeral Home. They must be buying import urns now.

Charity auctions are all about the winning bidder making their contribution to the cause and taking a trophy home. I've had $300 bowls go for 10X that in a bidding frenzy.

Exactly. I don’t kid myself that I could sell bowls for that much—which is why I titled thread the way I did and noted that people overpay to support their charity.
