Just had a thought it is usually in the form of fun but what forms or designs do we see in wood. They are buried until we uncover them or highlight them. I have a few and will start with this one.

Does it count if it's not yet turned? When I was moving this figured maple log, a friend told me they thought it was a dead cow.
Zounds, I forgot how beautiful that wood was (inside).

A women from Texas visiting a shop that sells my bowls in the Northeast had to have this cherry bowl because it reminded her of a Texas Long Horn ! Not being from Texas, I never noticed but I think she was spot on!

Usually aliens in crotch bowls. I can't find a good example now.
