I just got my second dump truck load of wood today, and thought I should pass along an oppertunity to get some wood and do something good for your community. Over this weekend I started doing some volunteer work with habitat for humanity. Me and 4 other woodworkers have cleared the better part of half an acre that will be 3 new homes on the edge of town. For our efforts I have had 2 dump truck loads of wood today, with more on the way. I have nearly 2 cords of misc old growth red oak, pin oak, walnut, cedar, maple and another couple cords of osage orange and honey locust that no one else wanted and all the root balls I can get the heavy machinery people to set aside for me. While not all projects are this good, I think we all could do some good for others and get some good wood out of it.
