I received my Glaser bowl gouge today. It is very nicely done with the polished cocobolo handle, engraving, and SS ferrule. The Glaser grind is very interesting with a very narrow bevel angle on the very short wings while the bevel angle at the nose appears to be around 70 degrees. If I were planning to use it (which I am not planning) it looks like I might need a bit of training on the proper use of the side bevels (other than avoid using them).

Now I need an idea for displaying it -- maybe something like, "Break Glass in Case of Emergency".

I got mine today and am finding it hard to not want to try them. This will be interesting, to see if I can keep from using them. Brian
 
The only solution would be to buy a second one. Put one under glass and use the other. The AAW and the maker, who was a member of my chapter, I'm sure would appreciate it. After all it is a bowl gouge, you should have more than one...
