Grizzly Chuck Compatability

Does anyone know if the

Grizzly H6267 4-Jaw Wood Chuck 1-1/4" x 8 TPI​

Will accept Nova 2 jaws? Grizzly will not answer this question. I was hoping someone might have some experience with this.

I think this might be the same chuck that I originally bought with my lathe. I still use it occasionally and it works fine. I had bought with extra jaws at the time that they sold for it.

I did find this while I was looking around and can't confirm but take it for what it's worth.

That’s very helpful. Vicmarc jaws don’t fit Nova. My guess is that means Nova will not fit the Grizzly.

Well my chuck is probably 8 years old. They may still be selling the same chuck or they may have changed. Who knows.

Perhaps a good way to know is to try some Nova jaws on a Grizzly chuck. (Except I'm not sure what "Nova 2" jaws are although I have dozens of Nova jaws. Nova/Teknatool say all Nova Jaws will fit all Nova chucks.)

Many people have Nova chucks and jaws. Perhaps someone in your local woodturning club has a Grizzly chuck and someone else has Nova jaws and both would be willing to bring them to a meeting and test the fit.
