I was looking around the other day and thought I'd check out the UK axminster site to see what the cost was vs the guy in New York.

There was only like 4 items showing up on their site so I sent an email and got a response.

"Thank you for contacting us.

This is the link to the deep grip jaws Axminster Woodturning Deep Grip Jaws | Axminster Tools . If you are unable to view them, you may be outside of the UK"

OK, responded with another question and got this----

"UJK, Axminster Woodturning, and Rider products are no longer distributed outside the UK through Axminster Tools. These brands are now owned by NuCo Tools, who work with over 60 authorised partners worldwide.

For information on your nearest retailer for these brands, please contact: sales@nucotools.com"

What the _____#&#^!

Is it the beginning of the end?

Axminster has had serious financial difficulties. They recently split into two companies. One of them is Nucotools. They've stiffed suppliers for about $11,000,000 total. Robust got stiffed for just a little under $7,000. I only bring this up because you asked. If you really want to learn more, it's all publicly available on various UK government websites. I always liked their products, and if you want to get something, I'd work with the "the guy in New York" He's a good fellow to deal with.

Wow, that’s a bummer. An SK114 is all I use for chucking. That makes me either cautious to add more jaws or go the other way and get another chuck as a backup, in case they don’t make it.

Brent, I bought some Axminster from "the guy in New York” and saw he carries your knock out bar. I was happy to see that as removing your drive and live centers with the stock Rikon bar was a pain (too skinny) and impulse added it to the order. Works great! But I couldn’t find it on your site? Is it on there somewhere and I’m blind?

We have them, they are on a pending "accessories" page that I haven't gotten around to finishing and posting. Thanks for asking !
