A friend is upgrading from a Grizzly 1442 lathe and is considering a Harvey t-60S. He asked my opinion and I have never seen one. Has anyone on the forum had any experience with this lathe?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
It would help to see a picture of the plug on the end of the cord if there is one or a picture of the wiring in the instruction book.I am setting one up this week and have a question. The instructions say "The machine must be connected with Single Phase and five-wire power supply . . ." I'm familiar with wiring 240v circuits with two hots and a ground, but five-wire power is a new one for me. Any advice about what this means/how to do it?
In response to the original question, the lathe is heavy and appears to be well built, with nice fit and finish. Beyond that, I'll have to get it powered up to say more.

Hey John...did you ever get your issues with e Harvey lathe straightened out?I have one. It's 220 with 3 wires (needs a 20 amp curcuit)
Yes, it was the stop button on the remote. They sent a whole new remote with the wire. The warranty was expired but they did not charge me anything!Hey John...did you ever get your issues with e Harvey lathe straightened out?
