I've forgotten the name of the homemade chuck (of wood) for reverse turning. Similar to Cole jaws, but having curved rotation line. As I recall, it is named for someone. A modern adaptation was in the AAW journal and I believe it was to be kept on the AAW website, but am unable to find it.

The Straka Chuck was described in the AAW Journal, Summer 2008, pp.50 ff. It's essentially a donut chuck, with some added adjustability.

The large scroll chuck was developed by Longworth, and independently by a fellow in Oregon (I think), sold as Chick and Duck, no longer marketed AFAICT due to death of the producer.
