2) 2005 Symposium charity donations updated
Have you considered what you are going to donate to the Children's hospital? I traded emails with our coordinator. Some of the kids are so sick they don't stay overnight in the hospital (i.e. they are not going to make it). If we could brighten up their life with something special I think it would make a real difference, and generate some good karma.

3) Summer 2005 president's letter published. (also in the summer 2005 AW Journal).

since cash is low and donations are on the up swing, why not have some form of auction which people can send turned wood items to so the cash earned could be sent to help children in need. I'm sure that I could donate some items as I'm sure others would be also.

I would donate but the article said you have to give the donation at the registration desk at the symposium. I had every intention of going till the roof of the house and garage had to be replaced. THEREFOR I'm not going. I would like to make a donation to the cause but I must send it.

Is there some way you (and others) can get items to local chapters? Many of the local chapters have 1 or 2 guys who are going.

If that doesn't work out then I can publish my address and I'll take donations up there.
