Hi, I have this nice big piece of mesquite burl. I've had it for some time and part of the reason I haven't used it is I can't figure out how to cut it up to get the "most" out of it, both quantitatively and aesthetically. I have 24/36 lathe so I can turn a pretty big piece. I like turning bowls of course but I also like end grain vases. Or whatever else I'm suggested. You can see, ,maybe, that the "B" side has some rot to it but it doesn't go very deep I don't think.
Any suggestions on how to cut this up would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Raif
