How to search this forum

Will someone please explain how to effectively search this forum.

I do it all the time, and I get zero results or get unrelated results. For example, "red oak salad bowl" returns no results.

Are there instructions available somewhere?
Thanks
Dick

Ray,
Tried a search using your word combination. Got 5 posts including this one. Rather than search the combination, it broke it into separate words. I just can't believe that in a forum this size there are only 4 other posts.

I'm definitely missing something.

this internet sure are funny to search, one thing that will work with some search engine is the one word phase " need " and sometime if you switch the words around , you can find more results

I believe a very large amount of forum postings and information was lost a few years ago when these forums changed over to new software. That was unfortunate, because there was a LOT of good information that is gone forever. I guess that's the price you pay for upgrades!
