Hi,
I'm new here on this forum. I'd like to take a moment to share a little about myself.

I live in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Claifornia. I've been wood turning off and on since I was in grade school. I bought an old veriable speed 12" Rockwell a couple years ago and emediatly became interested in Metal Spinning. I bought another monster lathe earlier this year, its a Pacific Metal Spinning Lathe with 24" swing. Over the last couple months I've been combining wood and spun metal. My background is Furniture Making and Metal Arts.

Here are a couple pictures of my first set of Goblets I just finished.

They are made with Pewter and Gaboon Ebony.

Ah Well, I tried but the file size is to big for the forum and I don't know how to resize in Iphoto:confused:

Hi Peter,
Welcome to the forum.

Try in iphoto to select the pictures you want, then under "file" export them to your desktop or another folder. When you choose "export" you should see a screen that lets you change the size of them. Then you can upload them from the desktop.

Looking forward to seeing your work.

Welcome!

Welcome to the forum! Looking forward to seeing your projects. I have a bit of metal fabrication background in manufacturing.

Great tip on emailing my picture to myself. Thanks John!!

So here they are-

Thanks for the warm welcome:)

PS- I just went back and followed the directions and that also works. I did the copy and paste type export before

welcome Peter, the goblets are very nice

Peter Welcome. Nice goblets. I've been fascinated by metal spinning for many years and will someday give it a shot. Probably some day soon.
