My neighbor took down a tree. The leaves and bark look like pear but I'm not sure. The wet wood has a pretty honey color. Thanks!

Limbs and leaves look like Bradford Pear. That would be obvious if you saw the tree.
I agree but there was no tree to look at which is why I asked

Looks like bradford pear to me. One of the plant ID apps is helpful, since you have leaves and bark. I use PlantNet but there are others.
I tried a plant id app first and it wasn't helpful. It gave me weird results.
I'll guess tree for the win Alex!
Well, the only thing to do is be a good neighbor and help clean up by taking all that trunk back to the shop and then turn them a little fruit bowl in thanks.
It sure could be pear. Wonderful wood to turn, a smooth even grain. I believe the Bradford pear is considered an invasive species.
