Do you know what the
original Øland tools look like?
The reason I ask is a LONG time ago I bought what I think was a complete set of Knud's tools from Lissi some years before she moved back to Denmark. I've never even opened the box. Maybe I should look for someone who can use them but kind of hate to open the box - ir'a almost a bit of history! Might be fun to donate the unopened box to the TAW symposium for the benefit auction next year and to see what they'll go for!

I was fortunate to visit Lissi several times at Brasstown near JCC. So nice - always offered tea and snacks. Some of her bowls were big enough to take a bath in. It was fun to see her shop, lathe, and how she worked. (She cored with a chainsaw.) Every time, she would load up my vehicle with wood until I cried "Uncle." I made a bunch of things and till have a little of the wood. I also took some photos of some of Knud's smaller pieces and duplicated the form the best I could, just for fun.
