In September 2024, I will be teaching a week-long workshop at the Marc Adams School of Woodworking, in Franklin, Indiana. The workshop will be based on learning the techniques I use to create my Soul Series body of work. Image of Soul Series 29, below.

This will be the first time that I teach and share how I make this work. Since the passing of Binh Pho, there have been few makers who use these tools and techniques, who are willing to teach them. If you already possess solid turning and sharpening skills and would like to learn how to incorporate thin-wall turning, piercing and negative space, and using an air brush to add color, you might be interested in this class.

Here's a link to the course and description: Donna Zils Banfield's Soul Series Workshop Registration opened today, December 1, 2023.

Your work is beyond my itty bitty artistic skill set and sensibility, but I really appreciate your willingness to share and teach. Thank you!

Whenever one of our high school students would get to the whiny "what else is there?" stage, I used to haul out a copy of American Woodturner and show them some of Binh Pho's work. Now I show them pictures of the WIT collaborations instead.
