I am very pleased to announce that Emiliano Achaval will be joining me as as a moderator on this forum. Emiliano is exceedingly well qualified and has experience as administrator on several other forums. He will be going through on-the-job training over the coming months and will eventually have equal and full administrative privileges. Emiliano will also be training me to use video conferencing.

Emiliano,

A Huge Welcome! And let me apologize in advance for what you'll have to do to / about / because of my posts.

:-)

So when you going to tell him he has another full time job!

I'll be training Emiliano to take great pride (and pleasure) in discharging the responsibilities of being a moderator.

We will be throwing a surprise party so everybody keep it under your hat until he walks into the room. :D

Thank you for the introduction Bill. Looking forward to working together. The AAW has done a lot for our club and for me. Helping here is a way of giving back.

So, you're still speaking to me. :D That's a good sign. :)

You'll probably hate me for this, but I still need to set up your account so that it requires a two-step log-in procedure. I have tried to do it a couple times last night, but for some reason the change hasn't taken place. Let me know if the main index page now looks different.

I need to learn how to do a live video conference. It would have been useful this evening to show how I solve a frequent problem of somebody registering under more than one identity and how to untangle the resulting mess.

I have to check in with @AlanZ, But I have spent several hours (I'm a slow learner, LOL) with him learning about Vmix, the software that we use for remote demos. For what we need to do, I think Zoom would be the right choice. I could see your desktop as you are going thru the steps. We could then switch around, and you could watch me do it. I have noticed that you are up late sometimes, that's good, with our time difference...

Emiliano,

Yes, I would suggest that you and Bill do the training / knowledge transfer via video conference... Zoom works for that.

Let me know if I can be of any assistance... either from the technical end or from my experience of administering enthusiast and commercial communities.
