Is the Instant Gallery at the Symposium Open to the Public?

I will be visiting a sister that lives in Richmond while at the symposium. She inquired about coming to see some examples and I wasn't sure it would be open to the public. Common sense would say that only the teaching sessions would be closed to the public but I thought I would check.

the EOG Auction

AAW membership meeting is open to all AAW members.

A sympsoium registration is required to attend any of the demonstration sessions. All other parts are open to the public.

Anyone in the area who for whatever reason does not register for the sympsoium can have a great time just visiting the gallerys and trade show.
While the Demonstrations are the main event. You could literally spend the entire three days in the gallerys and trades show and not see everything.

I took my wife to the Louisville Symposium. Each day her schedule went like this. Sleep in til about 10:00, go find a cup of coffee and head off to the Instant Gallery. I'd text her to meet me for lunch and she'd repsond to meet her in the IG. She'd show me this piece or that, tell me about somebody she met, ussually one of our more famous members, and what a great visit they had. We'd run back and forth in the IG room. I would miss lunch and be late for the next session. Then in the evening at the dinner or at one of the gallery receptions, she be the one introducing me to the big name turner. It was pretty cool really. Portland was just too hard to get to and Richmond is not going to fit the calendar this year but 2009 we'll be there if we have to quit our jobs and walk to get there!

PS: I do remember Al's wife Sherry as being a very gracious host in the IG at Luoisville.
