Jet 1221 error code

Hi Rich, Appreciate your info. My question was more about is this a design flaw and has anyone found a solution. This is the second time within a year the error pops up. Replaced both parts last time.

What if it is a design flaw, what would you do differently than just replace the bad part? Did you check the position of the speed sensor? I know some Powermatic lathes had trouble with the sensor coming loose.
