Hello everyone. Getting into turning as a retirement activity. Got a good deal over Christmas on a Jet 1221VS and so far have turned several bowls with varying degrees of success. I guess like everything, there is a learning curve and it looks the Forum here can be a big help in that effort.

Got my first lathe in 1975 and I’m still learning. You will have fun.
The more skills you master the more fun it becomes.

I’ll second getting in contact with the. Local chapters of AAW. They provide a lot of support and education opportunities to new turners.
