Hello everyone. Getting into turning as a retirement activity. Got a good deal over Christmas on a Jet 1221VS and so far have turned several bowls with varying degrees of success. I guess like everything, there is a learning curve and it looks the Forum here can be a big help in that effort.

Welcome! This an outstanding forum. Might I suggest an AAW membership and looking for a local chapter? There should be several in Georgia.

Welcome to the Forum. We will try to help. There is a learning curve that goes on forever. That's part of the fun, you never stop learning and there is always something new.

Welcome from SE Texas!
If you're careful, the only thing woodturning hurts is your wallet.

Retirement isn’t all it’s talked up to be, no holidays vacations or days off you are just “retired”.
Since you no longer have a job you have more time for everyone else’s projects.
