Hello all,
My name is Joe Atkinson and I’ve been turning for 20+ years although maybe 10 in earnest and mainly as a hobby. I focus mostly on utilitarian objects such as bowls, boxes, candlesticks, craft items etc. Although I originally planned to make turning a major part of my retirement, that changed once I realized how time consuming retirement can be, but I still enjoy the time I spend at the lathe. I'm hoping that the forum will allow me to avoid reinventing the wheel when I'm looking for solutions to various problems.

Joe, welcome to the forum! You'll find that there are tons of solutions here and a great deal of expertise. I started only a few years ago, and this site has helped me to improve my skills well beyond what I expected.
